No-Mow Entry Planting Plan for a growing family in San Jose
The existing concrete walk from the sidewalk to the front rental unit was inverted. i.e. narrow a the entry and widening to the porch which is opposite to the traffic patterns of human beings. (Human beings cut corners.) Solution was to soften these hard corners with flagstones set in stabilized D.G.
Lots of low maintenance and colorful plantings complete the no-mow front yard.

Allen-Harris Front Yard Unit Entry - Before and Afters:
Front yard was about color, fixing odd existing concrete paving angles and low-maintenance curb appeal.
Owners wanted to get some curb appeal for the front entry but not redo any concrete. We enhanced the concrete path with flagstones set in D.G. (decomposed granite).
Plantings are a mix of natives and very hardy plants which will provide color and seasonal interest all year.
